Kumi Design Studio. A place to sit.
A moment to stay.

Kumi 01 / An everyday companion

The first Kumi piece

Made for the moments
in between.

A coffee by the window. A conversation that runs a little longer. A place to set something down. A simple object, with a little more room for everyday life.

See how it comes together

The object

Four parts. One considered object.

A seat, two sides, a stretcher. Scroll to see how the joints bring them together.

Drawing of the Kumi stool. With motion enabled, scrolling assembles, separates and reassembles its four parts: a top panel, two side panels and a stretcher. Box joints join the top to each side, and the stretcher's tenons pass through slots in the sides. The exploded view shows the same parts and connections, before they return to an assembled stool.

Made to fit your day

One object.
A little possibility.

A stool when you need a seat. A side table when you need a little space. Something useful, wherever the day takes you.
